The bowl games will still be played... mostly by those that aren't the 'top 4'... or they may use 4 of the upper tier bowl games as part of the 'play offs'... who knows. This super/mega thing seems to be the way things are going to go; perhaps with the intention of forcing the NCAA into this type of play off scenario.....
  2. If I had to choose three more into the conference (assuming AnM is already in) iw would be Mizzou, Louisville, West Va. Maybe TCU I suppose.
  3. If we go to 16 teams, I would prefer 4 divisions over 2. You play your three division rivals annually and rotate through the other 12 teams - stay at 8 conference games per year.
  4. I like this better to. What you think the chances of them doing this though?
  5. That would also make 2 playoff games instead of one for the champion.
  6. What I don't like about mega conferences is that you end up with the divisons becoming basicly small conferences . A 10 team west divison and a 10 team east divison are seperate conferences in my opinion, the championship game would be the only time teams from different divisons would meet.
  7. Realistically if they are going to do the mega conferences the best way to do it with out making the conferences to huge is make 6 conferences. The catch being get in one or you get no shot for a national champ. The biggest problem we have now is the outlier teams like nd and bosie for example that can play who ever, do not have to play a conference champ and then scream that they should play for a NC. I would be more up for 6 "mega confrences" b/c this way you wouldn't be stuck with these 20 plus team conferences and teams that never see each other but like every 5-7 years.
  8. It could workout like
    West Midwest South East
    LSU Alabama Florida South Carolina
    Ark Auburn Georgia Kentucky
Mizzou Ole miss Tennesee West Virginia
Texas AnM Miss State Vanderbilt Louisville
