If Saban was quick enough to bring in JaMarcus after halftime, I don't expect Randall to start again.
Just how many games of overthrowing receivers do you allow him to have and are you willing to watch that the rest of the year? He's had many games to fix that thus far in his career at LSU and last night it was evident that it's still a problem for him. Nice loyal guys can sit on the bench as well. He offers nothing more than Russell. Let Russell get the extra year to develop his career.
Randall is a great guy and a great team player But that doesnt mean we are supposed to let him stay in there and make the others suffer. Russell is far and away the better option at QB right now. Randall looked awful most of the time and his passes were beyond off the mark.
May I remind everyone that Marcus Randall record as a starter is 2-4 One of those wins was a last minute miracle against a Kentucky football team. What was Matt Mauck's record with this same team btw. I like Marcus and wish him the best but we might be a .500 team with him as a starter. A good college QB he isn't.
I am happy to see this thread - as I felt terrible for Marcus last night. A sincere thank you for being a tiger and working your ass off. With that said, JR is probably the man and for good reason. One thing no one mentioned was how many passes were dropped that JaMarcus threw perfectly. Those do not show up in the stats, and to me Addai was the main guy. I am sure the wet ball had something to do with it but JM threw at least 4 passes that should have been completions that were not. Did anyone else notice this or was I drinking too much /

There were dropped passes for both QB's but many of the drops were on passes where the ball was thrown poorly behind the reciever making it a very difficult catch. I didn't see more than 3 passes by an LSU QB all night that hit a reciever in stride. Addai also made some very nice catches on poorly thrown balls.

Randall was 2-4. This is from lsusports.net SOPHOMORE SEASON (2002) Started six of LSU’s last seven games, including the Cotton Bowl ... Posted a 2-4 mark as LSU’s starting quarterback
