Yeah...Remember when the 49'ers were tearing up the NFL? They would go 0-fer in the preseason--or maybe 1-3...only to kick everyone's butts in the regular season.

I don't know how he looked on TV, but in person, Brooks was anything but sharp. I counted 4 passes that he either threw behind the receiver, or at their feet (not counting the passes thrown in close coverage where the ball was at a place that only the receiver could catch) .... Also, how much more can you hang a person out to dry (like the pass to Ernie Conwell, where he got absolutely DESTROYED)???
