I hope our coaches never quit recruiting an entire state because of one supposed "bust", but I would love if every other state would quit recruitng LA due to that. :hihi:
Mack flat-out cost himself a national title Applewhite's senior year. A winning QB was all that he lacked--and that QB was warming the bench. Applewhite is VERY popular in Texas, and will likely be one of their legends. One of our neighbors was going to name his son Major, but since his last name is Peck--he didn't think it was a good idea. Me, either.
Applewhite's Colorado BigXII CG was one of the best games I ever watched on TV.....and so was his Holiday Bowl win
