Wow, just saw on the news that The Caterie caught fire and is a total loss. Spent many a weekends there enjoying good food and good music.
I was at Uncle Earl's last night while the place was burning. I drove back home today around noon and it looked like it spread all the way down to the end of the shopping center on Acadian. Firefighters were spraying the roof and I saw smoke coming from that side of the shopping center.
They were still spraying it when I came home from work this evening at 5:30. Had the roads blocked off as well.
Maybe when it returns they can get better bands. I went there like 3 times and had to leave because the music was so terrible.

Claitor's Book Store next door was also destroyed. Lost were millions of books, some of them old and rare and dating back to the 1800's
