Anyone go to a good show lately?

I saw Alice in Chains last night. I was pleasantly surprised. The Duvall guy is pretty good. Jerry Cantrell is as much of a badass as ever. Man it just makes not having Lane there hurt that much more but still a really great show.

I saw Dr John a couple of weeks ago at the Baton Rouge Blues Festival. The guy can still bring it.

The new guy they have does about as good a job as you could expect considering he is filling in for one of the greatest lead singers of that genre.

AIC and Journey both went out and found lead singers that sound like their old one. Smart move.

That's because you've seen him, the dude sounds like Steve Perry

Funny, Palladia has then Live in Manila right now and I was just thinking, this guy doesn't really sound like Steve Perry at all. I mean that is really tough to pull off.

I've seen em both and while no one will ever sound exactly like Steve who had one of the greatest voices in music history, the Guy sounds alot like him.

Yesterday was your typical ho-hum day...Anders Osborne, Royal Southern Brotherhood, John Mooney, Phish, Keb Mo', Boz Scaggs, Robert Plant.

All that for $50 bucks. Unfreakin' believable day. All of it was fantastic. Going again next weekend, haven't decided if Sat or Sunday. Clapton played today, but I was recuperating.
