"Crowton Dilemma"....Isn't that an oxymoron? I would re-title this thread the Crowton Forgone Conclusion...Gone! Les needs a scape goat. However, Crowton's product on the field isn't that of a scape goat...it is just plain sad.
I don't like blaming coaches per se. I am, however, wondering why Crowton wasn't able to effectively use Shepard; why teams were so easily able to read plays; why Jefferson didn't get much better throwing downfield over the season. Without a good QB, OCs have an almost impossible task in this league. So I'm hoping JJ improves a lot and Crowton proves he's still "the Wizard" that so many fickle fans were calling him in 2007/8. With Porter and maybe McCarthy and Stud leaving, I doubt Miles/Aleva opt to change coordinators in what should be a viable title run.
Actually I have an excuse. It’s because I have been cursing coach Scrotum all year long. So I don’t know how to spell coach croWton. Nor do I think I want to learn how.
Crowton isn't going anywhere and LSU will return to being one of the SEC's best offenses lext year, thanks in large part to 2nd Team All-SEC QB, Jordan Jefferson, 1st Team All-SEC WR, Terrense Toliver and 2nd Team All-SEC RB, Stephen Ridley.

So what are you trying to say here? Back to theme of this thread, Miles can not afford to NOT make the change. If Crowton is kept, and we end up with an identical record to last year or even an extra loss or two, Miles' seat becomes very very hot, especially if Crowtons offense drops off even more from this season.
Hopefully JJ has learned a ton this year, and will return next year with some huge experience. Thus allowing Crowton to let go of the reins
