The Deep Ball....

Can someone explain to me why we don't even attempt to stretch the defense by taking some shots down field? The only completed deep ball I recall this year was against UNC but seriously...we don't even try. We are never going to be able to "open up" the offense unless we get defenses more than 10 yards off the line of scrimmage.

I just don't understand it. JJ supposedly has this great arm, let him use it. Even if not complete, with the likes of Randle, Tolliver, etc. the threat should help keep defenses honest if attempted.

I just don't understand how we can continue to under perform on offense and rank near 100-ish in D-1. Even when we had Marcus Randle at QB we moved the ball and didn't routinely settle for three and outs and FGs. We took SOME shots deep. What is the deal?
