Man, our d brings the pain! All of these guys explode into tackles. Maybe this is what Bo was trying to get them to do to create more turnovers. If we keep popping people like that we will definitely separate some balls from bodies. Very exciting, 03ish.:thumb:
I know we got our stars on D, but my God, Beckwith is going to be a star and he is rising very fast. That dude as a freshman is already a man.
I love the hits we put on people. When that big TE was carrying some of the other players LaRon came in and cleaned his clock. He cramped up after that but he put the smack down. Tepperllini can coach.
And maybe even a few footballs..........lol. The defense was awesome tonight...very 03ish if not even a little quicker. Seemed like a bee hive swarming all around the ball every play the first half and most of the second. Real test next week!
Beckwith is SCARY!!! Seriously, these guys hit hard--even the corners. Chevis lays the wood as well as anybody. It looks like Leron gave Tui a concussion. I'm so excited...can't wait for next week.
This team is shaping up like the '03 squad, but with more confidence early on. If we win next week, the sky could be the limit.
Give cgisclair props... I told you all before the season that from watching practice, the D was better than in '03
yes he will be sorely missed, but we are in the midst of grooming the next great popper in Beckwith, the closing speed on that Qb hit was amazing wasn't even in the screen on Tv, and he was flying right through the qb, he will be bringing some pain for years to come.
You may be right Clair and I hope you are, but we haven't even been tested yet. '03 D was right up there with the best ever. If this year's team is better, might as well cancel the rest of the season and just give us the crystal trophy. :grin: :thumb:
