1. I would tell him UT doesn't have a helmet to fit that "big head" of his. Ask him how he avoids flying metal objects coming at him because his head is so big it has it's own gravitational pull. All while wearing you UT gear.

    Seriously,
Pose the question, "Does it concern or is it a factor to you that you will be behind Vince Young at QB until he graduates because he won't go into the NFL draft early? Upon that is it a factor that you could possibly compete for a starting position at LSU since Russell is not a guarantee in that position and you have better speed than Flynn?"

Then later ask him about QB development at UT. They are not good at developing their QB's. Vince Young has not learned to throw the ball well, Simms left UT with a lot of untapped potential-he never developed into a Peyton or Eli that he was capable of with the unbelievable WR staff on those teams, all the while screwing Applewhite.

I think you can be objective but pose serious questions that expose the flaws at UT.

Also the coaching changes being made. Yes LSU has them but the staff coming in are very highly touted.

Of course don't do anything to jeopardize you position. That would be stupid, but posing a serious question to him about the situations at LSU and UT is journalism.
  2. LOL!!!
  3. Gotta find that happy medium. Ask him the professional questions, and at some point, state that, "from a fan's perspective, you're LSU thru and thru" ...and just gauge his reaction on that.
  4. Let your bride do the talking.
  5. A real good idea.
