I feel if you guys win in Arlington, you will have a lot of LSU support throughout the rest of the season, and we would definitely hope to see you again.

its false. you need to watch some oregon replays. there's no time to substitute regularly. thats the point here.

but especially here because of their uptempo. its much faster than any team in the sec and will determine if we get blowed out or manhandle them up front and eat clock.

and if we cant do that, we will have to rely on jj's arm. in the name of the father, the son...

When you start quoting national media, I'll listen. I can easily quote our local media regarding Oregon's voluntary workouts. You make it sound like LSU is the only team doing it. Oregon's been doing it since spring practice (Minus the most of the incoming freshmen).

Well, I think we can all agree about that.

Then show me some that make your point. They are not invincible.

Only if they take no time for substitutions themselves, in which case they will get just as tired as we will. I can't imagine why you would think LSU is in some way less well-conditioned.

If they make substititions themselves, then we will have adequate time to make substitutions. From NCAA Football Rulebook 2011: Section 5, Article 1-e.

That is just it. We won't be playing Oregon's game. We will be running a time-eating ball-control offense and will win the time of possession. The Oregon offense can't score if they can't get back on the field.

Never said anything about Oregon, just pointing out I am not worried, and I doubt anyone will be in better shape than LSU. I trust Tommy Moffitt.

Very well could happen but they would have to destroy us for me to come away thinking they are the best team on our schedule....bama, Florida, auburn, Arky.....some good teams

I will clarify......I'm not saying Oregon is some huge drop off in quality. The ducks are very good but I think Florida will be better than people think and bama will be bama. Auburn blew their wad last year. They will be rebuilding for a couple years but are recruiting well. All good teams.

You just don't get it. Oregon's AVERAGE time between plays is 22 seconds. When pushing the pace, the average drops down to 13 seconds from snap to snap. There is ZERO chance that a substitution can be made in that amount of time. Especially if it's in the red-zone. Believe me when I tell you that teams tried to do it all of last year, and couldn't. That's why so many teams faked injury to stop the clock and get substitutes in.
Since it seems to me that you've watched next to no Oregon football past the BCS games, I'll post a couple of videos showing their pace, and teams faking injuries to stop the clock to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.
