This is what I don't buy. If they never substitute, they will get tired facing a top defense like Auburn or LSU.

Their receivers better run some real short and fast routes because their quarterback will have to get his passes off in about 6 or 7 seconds with LSU's defensive line and linebackers taking that veteran OL of theirs apart.

That's the tempo they'll have to worry about.

And the Auburn game really was an aberration...It was an aberration that the ducks even got to the Championship game. Every year that game is the SEC champ vs. someone else.

You just don't get it. Oregon's AVERAGE time between plays is 22 seconds. When pushing the pace, the average drops down to 13 seconds from snap to snap. There is ZERO chance that a substitution can be made in that amount of time. Especially if it's in the red-zone. Believe me when I tell you that teams tried to do it all of last year, and couldn't. That's why so many teams faked injury to stop the clock and get substitutes in.
Since it seems to me that you've watched next to no Oregon football past the BCS games, I'll post a couple of videos showing their pace, and teams faking injuries to stop the clock to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

LSU will be playing Oregon's game when your team is on defense. TOP means two things to Oregon; jack, and squat. I know I've stated it on here and to you, that Oregon's TOP last year was ranked 104th. Yet still managed to get 530 ypg, and averaged 46.8 points per game.

Against Stanford, Oregon only had the ball for 26 minutes, yet scored 52.
Against USC, Oregon had the ball for 27 minutes, yet scored 53.
(Both with good defenses)

So LSU playing ball control football won't hurt Oregon's chances offensively.

And you have apparently never watched LSU at all if you think they are slow and out of shape. Oregon is not surprising anyone with this offense. We know its coming. It can be defended.

The Oregon fans are turning into ALL the other annoying fans who dont know jack about LSU football other than box score stats and the whacky Les Miles Stories.
