1. Agreed.

All LSU has to do, is do exactly what they do EVERY saturday in the SEC when we face teams JUST AS DANGEROUS as Oregon. Play LSU football.
  2. Didn't Jacob Hester do it in 07 vs. Florida because his facemask broke or something?
  3. I do remember his face mask broke but that's totally different
  4. That was Matt Flynn against Bama. Pretty funny
  5. No, You can't get over your "We're the SEC, that's why!" Mantra. I actually watch quite a bit of football, and I've actually liked LSU teams over the years. But the continued talk that we're an SEC team, with SEC athletes, so we'll be ready for Oregon's pace, sounds identical to the Tennessee fans last year. The talk of playing in humid, hot conditions is also the same as last year.
Sure it was UT, but their SEC superiority complex won't allow them (or you) to believe that a team outside of your conference is a threat, or that they'll have advantages over your team.

You joke about the stats, and box scores, but they really do tell the story of a team over the course of a season.
  6. LSUTyga73

You're right. It would have been great to have a few ticks of the clock left after they kicked that FG. But TOP didn't decide that game. A few plays went Auburn's way that the refs assisted with (No calls, late hits by Fairley, etc).
Oregon didn't play near their best game against AU. There were quite a few unforced errors, mis-reads and drops that prevented them from finding there groove. Woulda, coulda, shoulda...

Oregon's D is used to being on the field a lot. That's why they rotated 22-25 players last year. That's why they'll rotate 19-22 or so this year.

Although they were on the field a lot, they only gave up 18.6 a game. More telling IMO, is that the Oregon D only gave up an average of 6.3 points per game in the entire 2nd half. In the 4th quarter, they only gave up 2.07. That tells me that the defense in NOT getting tired, but getting stronger as the game goes on.
  7. Auburn didnt play a great game either. Just enough to win. It wasn't as if Oregon played poorly and Auburn played out of their minds. And just in case you forgot, you are in an LSU forum. The "SEC is the best" talk is not gonna stop in this forum. Until the rest of the country does something to change the stinging reality of that truth, that's how it's gonna stay. We have been over this a million times. You would be gladly saying the same thing if you were in our shoes. It doesn't mean Oregon is bad. You guys are the ones with the complex, not us. 8 out of the last 13 NC's and 5 straight NC's= credibility
What has Oregon or anyone else in the pac12 besides USC won? That is a rhetorical question and none of what I'm saying is machismo or meant to disrespect the ducks. It may be a bitter pill but it's the truth. The SEC has at least 1, usually 2 legit NC caliber teams every year. Great players, great tradition, the best attendance in the country, more NFL starters AND players than any other conference. It goes on and on.
  8. Tommy Moffitt?? Even his name sounds out of shape! You will never have faced a team in better shape than the Ducks. Book it. ESPN will be showing sideline shots of the LSU players huffing and puffing and sucking up oxygen. Prepare to be bedazzled! Oh-and beaten.
  9. Stanford and LSU had almost identical stats last year. Only difference is Stanford played in a BCS game and held VaTech to 13 points. Seems comparable to me.
  10. That's a good one. You obviously **** your bed every night and cry yourself to sleep so I'm not gonna mess with you too much. Makes me feel bad. Poor guy.
