damn whippersnappers gotta ruin the only decent hate rivalry we have. The name is nice, i guess, but it just feels wrong. For once, i hope the student section comes up with something very inappropriate to do so this nonsense will end this year.
I guess students get bored. Studying is too hard. We've been playing Ole Miss for over a century and all of a sudden in 2008 we need to name the damn game and have a trophy. Makes no sense.
I am noticing a trend here.... If Ole Piss is going to have a name for a rivalry game, then it will always include "Bowl" in it. Guess that's one way for them to play in a bowl game every year.
You're right. We all know that LSU is their bowl game every year. That's why they usually play us so tough. Now it's official.
I guess this is right up there with the boot. :dis: Can't manufacture rivals. Ole Miss/LSU hasn't been a bigtime rivalry game since the early 60's. They don't have the facillities, stadium or infrastructure along the lines of LSU, Fla, Bama, Auburn, Tenn, etc. Doesn't mean they can't beat us on occasion, just means they're not equipped to compete at the upper levels year in and year out.

I agree, did the Student Government of both schools really have nothing better to do? This will never catch on... just like nobody but the LSU SG cares about the Tiger Rag.
