I was in a Cracker Barrel today standing in line behind a young girl who looked to be in her early 20's. I wasn't paying any attention until I heard the clerk tell her she should call the police. She was trying to buy a prepaid debit card or something to pay $400 to somebody who had texted her telling her she would go to jail for tax evasion if she didn't pay $800. She told them she didn't have that much and they replied that they would accept $550. She had already sent them $150. I told her she had been scammed and to ignore any more texts or calls. She just said, "I must be naive."

I can't believe people actually fall for that shit.

There's so many idiots in the world. If I was a thief, I'd be a billionaire.

My ex father in law got scammed for $20,000 in the money transfer scam. He was a lawyer and Coast Guard academy grad. Greed knows no bounds...scamees are greedy or desperate....or just gullible.

I got one of those emails a few months ago and played along. They got real desperate saying they would get the money themselves but they had to be over 25 to access it.

I told them aww shucks I'm only 23 to which the ballsy bastards said "can you ask your dad" I said sure, he works for the FBI let me ask him.

    They never wrote back
