...is that LSU just does not have it when it comes to a consistent kicking game. LSU in fact has never had a reliable kicker in recent memory and it's always been a fear that a crucial kick would cost LSU a critical game. Well, it has finally happened.

If you can't kick extra points, you do not deserve to win close football games. That is a very tough pill to swallow right now but it's the truth.

Can we please recruit a quality kicker sometime soon? Please.

Actually the real problem is the offense and the problems at the QB position. Randall ain't it and JR isn't quite ready for the big-time. That'll change as JR gets his snaps. Randall is lame duck. See where I am going with this?

Heading into next week vs Miss State, I saw Saban should just go with Russell as the starter. Period. For better or worse.

But was Russell the better QB in this game. I would argue that the team played better under Randall this week.

    Randall's play

Randall started the game hot.Why do you pull him out?I did not understand that, your QB scores a TD on his first drive and he get's pulled. What kind of message is that.In the OSU game Randall played under center most of the time he was in there,JM played in the shotgun you can't compare that JM had 1.5 to 2 seconds longer because of the shotgun formation. If Randall stay's in for the 1st 3 drives in the AU game they score more than 9 points.

I agree that it didn't make sense to pull Randall at that time, but why wasn't he able to come back and at least play decent?

easily....randall made great plays, was hot as a firecracker and they sit him.

then his brain took over and had time to think instead of playing and reacting that he was doing so great. if hes hot, its obvious. hes usually redhot or cold as hell.

    no reason to yank him.

    Randall in AU game.

QB can be a streaky position to play,Randall made some very nice throw's on the opening drive. He comes out and cool's off, maybe even feel's a little resentment.Look at any QB in college football the play is very sporadic sometimes.Chris Rix,Jason White, even Matt Lienhart have all had subpar series or even games.A QB's psyche is fragile.Randall was playing very well though that why this doesn't make sense.JM will be very good but playing at AU on primetime is very hard.If the Defense was the same as last year's they could of made up for the subpar offensive play.A 1 point loss is not bad though.
