1. Sourdoughman, Duck!.......You're about to get caught in a crossfire. :hihi:
  2. The hiring mistake, as you mentioned, isn't the reason I posted what I did. The relevance is to the assertations RE was making in this thread, and how they originated.

7 games over .500 just isn't a record that makes me think he was such a great coach at OSU. OK, he was named Big 12 coach of the year in 2002 with an 8-5 record (finished 9 wins the next, 7 his final) but that was when he "let go of the offense." That's my point.

Yeah, you are clearly on record here as saying that Miles isn't a good coach. If he ever actually starts losing and we have to fire him, I may agree with you, amigo. But right now, he's winning and it is getting a little lame to suggest he's a bad coach with no evidence. Homey don't play that.

What I've said is I still have doubts about his ability, but I've also stated that the key to winning is maintaining a good staff around him. I've based that on the 28-21 record he had at OSU. New conference, new environment.

No doubt, the jury is still out, in my opinion. He's done well the last two years.

  3. dheadtiger, i apologize in advance for being the one to deliver bad news, but LSU fans are going to be forced to wait in line on this particular ownage. You can't own someone who is already owned by another.

Auburn owns Bama - lock, stock, and two smoking barrels. And we're still pimpin' that Bama booty out to the Vandys and Mississippi States of the world. We own Bryant-Dennehey stadium too, so don't get any ideas about traveling up there to collect the rent unless you're expressly doing it on our behalf. Ownage is a beautiful thing when speaking of one's rival :hihi:

  4. Auburn's ownership rights of Bama were terminated when Saban was hired.

Didn't you get the memo? :hihi:

  5. Nah, someone else had stated in another thread that I insult Miles in every single thread that I post in. Don't worry about it.
  6. RE isn't though (has done and said far worse to people here), and that's why someone like dhead is so crude in his comments.
  7. Is there really a need to keep on harping about that? Perhaps you should have taken Red's comment in a positive manner. Maybe he was right or maybe he was having a bad day. I don't know as I have not really paid attention to your posts. At the very least, send him a PM? Red is a straight-forward guy and seems to be able to call it as he sees it from the top of his fence.
  8. Yeah, or ask SabanFan........he'd know. :hihi:
  9. I wasn't harping, I just answered the gentleman's query.

However, at your behest, I will not bring up the subject any more. Cool?

  10. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Indeed I do. The fact that Miles was a winner (winning record) at OSU is a testament to his coaching abilities. He was recruiting against OU, UT, TA&M, Nebraska and the Kansases. Now that he's the big dog, he's showing what he can really do. For some reason, his detractors think that his own recruits won't do as well as Saban's did. I think they'll do better because they are his kids who came to play for him. LSU ain't dropping anytime soon and Miles will be around as long as he wants to. And, unlike Nick, that could be a long time.
