People are walking out of New orleans across the bridge with garbage bags.

It is almost seems like there is nothing left that can be done, it has become a dead city.

Its not even about that, I know it will be back. But the thought that an entire city is useless, and unhelpable.

In this day and age when everything can be found at your fingertips, something so simple like wind and water can bring us to our knees.

Its hard to grasp, not that I am comparing it to 9/11 because I am not but for the people that call Louisiana home the feelings have got to be the same as that day.

it is absolutely the most tragic and widespread disaster I have ever seen. I have not posted much here lately, but this deserves it. My heart breaks with those who lost anything in this storm. I believe I speak with the rest of the state in offering my prayers and support from the Southwestern part of Louisiana. I have ties to New Orleans and Biloxi....I've lived in both places in my lifetime. Also, let us not forget our neigbors in Mississippi who have been hard-hit, too. They deserve our prayers and any support we can give, too.:bncry:

.....and to think NO was "lucky" that Katrina veered a little east and this could have been somehow worse.

    This is unbelievable. :dis:
