He was shocked to find himself uncovered and just came in full bore and didn't maintain control enough to jump up at the ball instead of plowing into the kicker. He would have blocked it if he could have gotten 9 inches higher. Les will play him some more.
It's amazing how Les can make so much sense and be straightforward in a post-practice interview, yet freezes up once the lights and national TV cameras are on him. Just his nature I guess.

Yep, not the best public speaker in the world.....I guess if he was only good at public speaking he could be our President instead of the LSU head coach.........but of course that would be a huge step down. :hihi:
