1. Anyone have a comprehensive listing of the tiger players and their 40 times. Im just kinda curious. From the little bit ive seen here and there, they are ALOT fast than they were last year on both sides of the ball... thats just friggin' insane to me, considering they were the all around fastest team in the country last year. it is most definately on like donkey kong.
  2. LSU doesn't post an official time on the players like a lot of schools do.
  3. 40 times are greatly exaggerated by everyone.

The NFL combine reveals that the average speed of NFL WR's is 4.55 and the average speed of NFL RB's is 4.65.

People with actual 4.4 speed or lower are VERY rare. Real 4.5 speed is blazing fast.

  4. Xavier Carter was timed @ 4.35 his senior year of high-school.... one of, if not THE fastest time turned in by a HS student.
  5. We've all seen the 40's for the WR's and such.. i'd like to see some for LB's and DL's... thats the speed that could make the difference.
  6. I know it sounds odd, but players usually get slower during their college career's it seems like. But actually, it makes sense, college coaches add so much muscle to the players so that they can endure an entire college year, so they probably lose a little speed.

  7. Doesn't sound funny... sounds reasonable to me. Good point.

    Geaux Tigers!!
  8. Actually, they lose a little of the hype. That's what electronic timing does, it cuts through the hype!
  9. Arkansas has an Oline made up of 5 guys who are 6-5, 330, and run a 40 in 4.5. Its amazing!!!
  10. I guess at the NFL combines they will bust out with a 5 something and look all sheepish.
