Freshman Xavier Carter won the men's 400-meter dash with a personal best and regional qualifying time of 45.65. The time is the eighth fastest time in school history and the fourth fastest in the nation this year.

"Xavier knew that he had to get qualified here in the quarter and then go to the conference meet and qualify in the 200-meters," said Shaver. "Well he took care of business here pretty well."

XC Track

Kelly Willie, Xavier Carter, Bennie Brazell and Reginald Dardar combined to win the men's 4x400-meter relay with a regional qualifying time of 3:05.35. The combination ran the tenth fastest time in school history just falling short of the seasonal best 3:05.19.
