Doubtful... I don't think they were planning on moving our band to the correct location... well, previously correct...

I'm a little bummed about it, because the seats the band occupied are pretty good, at least as far as student section seats go.

At first I thought the same things for you guys, being bummed about the seating that is... but then I remembered that band members get paid (though it be small) to watch LSU football 7+ times a year when many fans dole out thousands if not 10's of thousands of dollars every fall to do the same thing. I think change of seats isn't as bad when you put everything in perspective.

I can't complain if they do move... I might be able to hear them now from over in 612.

Really? When did this start? When I was in Tiger Band we didn't get anything but a loaned uniform and a practice schedule. I think I remember paying for some of our own meals on the road trips, too.

Sorry to see the Tiger Band's seats change but it does make sense for letting more of the stadium hear the music. :eek:ldskule:

Each band member gets $640 for the fall semester. I don't know when it started, but it was like that all four of my years. The band also gets meal money for trips now.

I was in Tiger Band from 1987-1991 and we were paid $640 back then. But then again, we had to sit through the Curley Hallman years, so we earned every penny. Still, I'd say it's time for a raise!
