TRUE FROSH FOR FALL 2005: (15)

    Kyle Anderson(#83) -- TE
    Darry Beckwith(#48) -- LB
    Ciron Black(#70) -- OL
    Harry Coleman(#43) -- DB

    Steven Korte(#42) -- FB
    Brandon LaFell(#88) -- WR
    Ryan Perrilloux(#11) -- QB
    Antonio Robinson(#34) -- LB/R

Al Jones and RJF will be freaks on defense.. hope they both are at linebacker... If Robinson goes to the defensive side, there will be some amazing athleticism in the linebacking corps. Will Korte be a huge RB or a fast FB? I say keep him at RB unless Miles using the FB in the passing game and runs with them a bit.

  2. loco, thanks for breaking that down. But you were talking about Korte. I played against Korte the past two seasons, and IMO, he would be a better recieving FB, than an RB. He just doesn't have the quickness to play RB. He would be a power back, which we already have in Broussard, and Korte isn't anywhere near as good as Ally. He is athletic, and when he gets a full head of steam is tough to bring down, and I think that allowing him to catch passes in the flat will do him more good than trying to play him at an already overcrowded RB slot.
  3. Thanks loco,

This years draft could be really painfull depending on how many juniors leave early. If we have the kind of season many tiger fans are expecting, we'll probably lose a few of them.

Luckily, our skill positions are set with talented players just waiting for their chance.

Our O-line could get pretty thin & young/inexperienced. I hope Miles uses our 2nd & 3rd stringers once we have the game in hand as to give starters a break & get the other guys some experience. It could come in handy down the road.

Hopefully we can have a really good recruiting class this year to build on this massive amount of talent.
  4. Good post, I see 8 seniors barring injury or bad seasons that will probably get drafted: Addai, Green, Jones, Livings (hmm, not sure, has talent), Prude, Wrotten, Williams, Whitworth, who else do you think?
  5. Cameron Vaughn
  6. Jones, Kuale and Hollis have a late round chance, so does Shyrone if he gets any playing time this year... Niswanger will be drafted if he puts his name in.. Oliver will definately go...
  7. So if we're gonna make a run at a title, talent wise, it sounds like ya'll are saying it's this year, not next year?
  8. I feel really good about all that talent that will be sticking around Baton Rouge for the next few years myself. Thanks for the breakdown.
