The thing I don't like about is that the unimaginative and cookie-cutter production perpetuates a bad image that most people have about that genre of music.[/QUOTE]

True. It's a shame we get crappy, sterile dance music. There is much better electronic music out there to remix Tiger Band to. I'd love to see a Drum and Bass mix :thumb:

Hell yeah. I'd bust out my record bag and re-claim my residency at Culture for one night just to drop that one in the mix (used to dj DNB).:D

Sweet. I thought the BR electronic music scene was pretty dry (I usually have to take a bunch of girls to Splash to get a club atmosphere), but where is Culture? Any other places to get it?

Oh, and did you go to the Crystal Method show at the Varsity? It was awsome.

Maybe people just don't like house, trance, or dnb. Could that ...possibly... be the case?

Dude. Did you just admit you have darkened the doors of Splash?

I don't care how many girls you take.

I've been twice. With anywhere from 4-6 girls. Didn't dance with any guys.

But so what if I did? I saw some friends there. Boo hoo.

Wow, what the heck has happened to BR if that's the best the club scene has to offer these days.

Am I ever glad my LSU experience occurred when Tigerland was still sort of fun and they still had places like pre-Element Triple A and Rocket's Roadhouse on Sherwood and the Zone by Cortana.

Quite a few people go to Fred's, Ivar's, et.al. Upscale on Nicholson for the black folks.

Go to North Gate Tavern (formerly Library Joe's - been remodeled) on Chimes St. tonight if you want Drum N Bass. There are also some things going on at the Spanish Moon like that every now and again.
No, I completely forgot about it. But a friend of mine (Brandi) opened for them.

Could be. Hell, I can't stand trance, and there's very little house that I like anymore. But I'd rather them form that opinion from a better sample than that kind of absolute garbage.
