Exact same thing for me too. It was bad. I've ordered before in the past and had no problems like this time. :dis:
The broadcast team was terrible--and then the static with the scrolling type for the rest of the game was even worse. Money SHOULD be refunded, but I'm betting that Direct TV won't exactly care.
The commercials were either promoting LSU or Shell's involvement in the state and the Gulf. One of the LSU commercials was particularly cheesy/awful.
I got it through Cox. Apart from the 2 blackout periods (I just turned the radio on) I don't really have any complaints.
Yea I got it up here in Arkansas on ESPn game plan. The picture was good but the volume issue really sucked hard! The university should refund at least half the $21.50 I paid. I realize $10.25 is chump change, but multiplied by the number who rented and maybe LSU will get its rear together next time! Who's getting cookin early saturday morning? I'll be driving down thur night, stay in NO saturday for a round of golf during the day and lap dances at night. We are heading over sat morning--hoping to hit campus around 9:00. God I hate 11:30 kickoffs! Geaux Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to thank all you who replied. This is LSU sport's responsibility and they should make sure everyone get's their money back. This happened one time before and they gave everyone their money back or directed cable, direct tv and dish network not to charge their people for the game. So if they don't we all need to start calling out at LSU. Thanks again for all your replies!!
Ditto. I was annoying at best. I'm just glad I didn't have to order it PPV....I'd be asking for some sort of refund if that were the case.
The geaux zone has also had problems because of technical difficulties - or just plain old incompetence - the last few months. Some one needs to get their act together and make sure the services that are offered actually work. I have sent e-mails to the GZ about problems and don't get any kind of reply.
There is an article in this morning's Advocate explaining the problems with the broadcast. It isn't available online though.
