Don't know that I'd call Lee an "experiment." He's a young QB who got forced into action before he was ready. He may pan out yet...but I'd say he has to show vast improvement this spring to beat out Jefferson.

Lee is pretty good under pressure, as in late in the games...it's just every other part of the game he blows.

i don't think Lee is a bad quarterback, just makes terrible, terrible decisions. Especially when he's pressured. If he has matured, good for him. If he still gets jumpy and itchin to throw to anybody on the field, that's not too good. I think that the coaching staff is aware of that. I wouldn't be surprised to see him start, but I wouldn't be surprised either if JJ started. I'm hoping that's the way it goes. Lee had a few good moments last year, but I don't think he was ready. And what about Hatch getting shook up and jumping ship

I love this quote from Ciron Black yesterday:

    I just love the attitude.

Thats very interesting that Peterson is working out at TE, Im fine with the FS and SS changes, that looks about right to me.

If Lee is lights out and he looks like a starter, I have no problem with that. Essentially its on Crowton and Miles to determine that. I just think JJ will be the starter because of Lees lack of mobility.

It's a competition. Just like every other position, you give the start to the guy who does the best. If Lee wins the spring battle, then he starts and the other three QB's push him and try to be ready if they have to go in.

He was a freshman, all freshman quarterbacks make mistakes. But players get older and improve. He's likely to be much improved this year and he has more game experience than our other quarterbacks. People that expect Sheppard to step on the field and be Joe Montana instantly are going to be disappointed.

The problem is you can't adequately test decision making in practice imo. All the variables are not in play. I'm not saying he shouldn't have the chance to be the qb, just that he better be playing much better than everyone else if we are going to take a chance on his decision making.
