Same here hatch, I always wondered why he didn't see the field more in Jax? I hope he really turns it up.

just curious, but who owns the single-season touchdown record at LSU?

It may have since been broken, but Toefield owned it when he played here.

I agree Toefield was overhyped, but you make it seem like he is a pushover. Dude had a very nice career. Hell, anyone who can stay in the pros for 6-7 years is a big-time player.

Davis only outrushed Toefield that last year when Toefield was hurt all the time (but then again he was hurt pretty much his entire career). But when he wasn't he put up 1000 yards and 19 TD's his junior year. I guess the infatuation comes from seeing a kid with so much potential but was just so unlucky with injuries

let's not get it twisted. DeAngelo Williams is getting 25-30 carries a game. He will be a 3rd down back at best.

Carolina will probably draft another player at that position, too.

Toefield had a great Jr year at Independence HS and was primed to be the top recruit in LA his Sr year. I believe he hurt his knee around the 2nd or 3rd game and then missed the rest of the season before (I think) returning for an epic State Championship which they lost against Evangel. When he hit LSU's campus, everyone thought he would be the next Kevin Faulk. Like clair said, it didn't exactly turn out quite like that but he still had a solid career at LSU.
