here's what i found on signing limitations (per Vitale)

the "5/8 rule." The rule has limited the number of men's basketball scholarships to eight in a consecutive two-year period, with no more than five in one of those two years.

Never been to a college basketball game in my life, I decided a couple of years ago, that my son and I would go to our first game together, he's still a little too young right now.

LSU got more OFFENSIVE rebounds, then their opponent had total rebounds for the 2nd straight game...

4 people in double digits on boards..

I am excited about this club

Sometimes that stat can be misleading. More offensive rebounds usually means more missed shots. I have no problem with the hustle to get these rebounds. What was the teams FG%.

in this game it was more indicative of LSU's huge advantage in length. there were several series where Nich St fouled, then missed shot, no call, rebound and then started all over again.

The team is good but I think they will really miss Tack this Sat against WV. WV is very good and should have beat #2 Texas tonight but missed 3 straight front ends of 1+1s.

We had trouble last year vs. the 1-3-1 and I suspect that we'll be seeing alot of that Sat. It will be a stiff test for the Tigers and I will be very interested in seeing how the young squad handles the tough road atmosphere.

I also head that West Virginia is retiring Jerry West's number during the game so the crowd will be even more fired up than normal.

How did Nicholls look, I almost graduated from there.

Small. There were times that LSU had 4 guys taller than NSU tallest player on the floor.

I saw Nicholls play Indianna the other night on ESPN U, but it was hard to Judge them, because of the huge mismatch.

I think we have more length to defend the tall perimeter shooters. I look forward to watching this one.
