1. Throw in baseball, and  , along with Texas and Miami, would be in the Top 3 (men), and that's not including the great women's programs we have such as basketball, softball, gymnastics, and track and field for both.

    LSU! #1 BEST OVERALL TEAMS.
  2. Re: Teams That Can Bowl and Dance

    Hawker,

In your gut, what do you think of your Hawks in the Tourney, and of the Big 10 in general this year?
  3. Re: Teams That Can Bowl and Dance

I think that list has almost as much to do with what conference teams are in as much as it does how good they are in both sports.
  4. Re: Teams That Can Bowl and Dance

Tejas.... My gut tells me that the Hawks will beat Cincy, then get pounded by Kentucky. We're not a great scoring team and if we can't keep the game in the low 70's, we lose. This is not a very exciting team to watch, but they do play hard.
As fot the conference, it's been a down year. Illinois is for real, however, and I like them to win it all... my logic being simply that they start 3 seniors and when it comes down to nut-crackin' time in the tourney, the seniors usually show up.
I actually have LSU to the Sweet 16... you're tough inside and that should pay dividends... good luck.
  5. Re: Teams That Can Bowl and Dance

Scott Rabalais pointed out that the only schools that played in a January bowl and the NCAA tournament are: LSU, Texas, Utah and OU.
  6. Re: Teams That Can Bowl and Dance

    Add Iowa, please.
  7. Re: Teams That Can Bowl and Dance

Sorry, I think when MikeD was selectively blocking out the Capital One bowl, he also deleted the participants. . .
  8. Re: Teams That Can Bowl and Dance

Sorry, I just read the paper and Scott Rabalais said something about that. Looking at the article now, he says January bowl and BOTH tournaments. So there ya go.
