1. Here are my projections for the top 8 seeds:

    1) Illinois, North Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest
    2) Kentucky, Louisville, Washington, Oklahoma State
    3) Kansas, Arizona, Michigan State, Gonzaga
    4) Boston College, Florida, Connecticut, Syracuse
    5) Alabama, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Villanova
    6) LSU, Utah, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh
    7) Pacific, Texas Tech, S. Illinois, Georgia Tech
    8) Charlotte, W. Virginia, Nevada, Iowa State

The Texas Tech game versus Oklahoma State is being played now. If Texas Tech wins, I believe they will take the last #6 seed away from LSU. I also think Kansas would take Oklahoma State's #2 seed.
  2. If Southeastern holds on and wins their game, what do you project their seed to be?
  3. 31st

Oops, they don't have that many.

Will be interesting to see if they play in that "extra" game

  4. They will be a 15 maybe a 13 but no higher.
  5. By the way islstl, nice post.

    Are those predictions? Quotable? :D

Not much disagreement here with you other than that of believeing LSU is a lock for a #6 seed at worst and I do not see a Texas Tech, or anyone, taking that away from LSU.
  6. No more worries about TTech taking the #6 seed away.

Looks like LSU should be a lock now.

    They are predictions and quotable.
  7. as long as you don't give us any BCS projections, I won't give any coaching projections.

I wish there was some way LSU could lock down a 5 seed, but I agree with your projections.

I would not be surprised if they screw us and put us in as a 7. Back in 2000 they got us good, yet we still advanced to the sweet 16.....
  8. I think Georgia Tech played themselves into a 6 seed during the ACC tourney. I think they get to avoid a date with a 1 or 2 seed in the 2nd round. But we'll see...
  9. Had GTech won today, I would have placed them #6 ahead of LSU.

But that didn't happen, so I can't see them get any better than 7.
  10. They got a 5...
