It is an off week so let's have a history question about traditions at LSU. I remember hearing that the original handlers of Mike the Tiger were the Priests at the Episcopal Chapel on campus. The basis of this is that I was at a party many years ago (early 1970's) and talking to an Episcopal clergyman and we discovered our LSU connection and he told me that he had been Mike's handler and that it went with the job, passed from Priest to Priest! Great cocktail party talk. Episcopalians are allowed to drink, for goodness sakes! Too many cocktail or fact? Who have been the handlers of Mike? Heck they should have ascholarship just like the band the cheerleaders. I saw with Mike VI that the vet department is in charge. From what this Priest said, every time he fed Mike he knew he was taking his life in his own hands because that tiger was thinking of ways to kill him. Any comments?
Its been a while since I attended (oh about 27 years or so), but they way I heard it was "Catholic" but hey, does denomination really matter. :helmet::helmet::helmet::helmet::helmet::helmet:
