The Auburn Pres., AD and Tubs met today. Bottomline.....Tubs stays. More to come.

    TheDude I'm calmer than you.

Tubs is good for Auburn, and a good Auburn team is good for the SEC. I hate it when we lose to you guys, but we benefit when we beat a good Auburn team.

Tubs will right the ship pretty quickly.

Tubs is officially on the hot seat.

What chance do they have getting a good offensive coordinator knowing it may be a one and done? Tough situation for Aub.

    good point.

I think Auburn was wise to keep him. He's a really good HC. But Saban is killing him in the recruiting wars and that spells ultimate doom.

I like TUbs, yeh there was some heated times there for a bit and cooler heads prevailed.
But I think Tubs is a great coach. Glad he is staying. he will have Auburn back on track once he realizes that Auburn wins by a punishing defense and a brutal running attack. Once he gets back to that they will be back to being a top team.

It'll be interesting to see, if he does make it past the next 2-3 years, what happens to the quality of talent, especially in-state, in regards to Bama and Saban.

Sounds like there is still a chill even after yesterday on the plains according to this writer:

Auburn announces ongoing talks after coach's review

AUBURN - Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville emerged from his annual end-of-season review holding onto his job, but lacking a clear vote of confidence from university administrators.

Auburn released an ambiguous statement late Monday that said further meetings would occur in the days to come. The statement did not address Tuberville's job status.

I agree that Auburn needs to come out and give Tubby some support otherwise it will be difficult to bring in a proven OC because of job security issues.

Who can Auburn get that is better than The Tube? Recruiting against Saban could make Auburn a tough sell to many top coaches.
