Last year, the SEC CG was played on astro turf. Many LSU fans may be assuming that the field will be a big advantage for LSU.

However, over last winter, the Georgia Dome changed the surface to artificial grass. A much slower playing surface and the same surface that Georgia practices on all the time in Athens.
