As we all know by now but here is an article.

LSU hires Tyke Tolbert as new receivers coach

Great hire and he should report a couple of days after new years when the Bills season is over on Jan 3rd.

A source close to the situation tells NewOrleans.Com/Sports that LSU coach Les Miles has hired Buffalo Bills wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert, effective at the end of the NFL season.

With head coach Dick Jauron losing job at midseason, Tolbert’s future in Buffalo was murky. LSU moved in to take advantage of the situation.

Tolbert has coached former LSU receiver Josh Reed in Buffalo. Tolbert played at LSU as a wide receiver from 1988-1990. Tolbert has been in coaching since 1994. Tolbert has coached on the college level at Louisiana-Monroe, Ohio University, Auburn, Louisiana-Lafayette and Florida.

In the NFL, Tolbert served as wide receivers coach with the Detroit Lions in 1997 and with Arizona in 2003 before moving to his current position as wide receivers coach in Buffalo in 2004. Tolbert is a native of Conroe, Texas. Tolbert replaces wide receivers coach D.J. McCarthy who was releived of his duties today by Miles.
Tolbert becomes the second new assistant added to Miles staff since the end of the regular season. Frank Wilson left Tennessee to take the position previously held by Larry Porter, who recently accepted the head coaching position with the University of Memphis. Porter will help LSU through the Capital One Bowl on New Year’s Day, about the time that Tolbert will be done with the Bills.

Tolbert joins New Orleans native Frank Wilson as new additions to Miles’ staff heading into 2010. Wilson was recently hired as running backs coach and recruiting coordinator by Miles

Very good hire. Miles, again, has identified a problem and is correcting it. Just a FWIW, I have heard that Crowton has had 0 input on these hiring decisions.

The article says he's from Conroe which is just north of Houston. I'd bet you he knows the way to D/FW and I am sure he is going to a great help in Texas.
