Good game RedElephants. I remember a similar win for LSU against Tennessee in the Baton Rouge under Saban - LSU goes on offense first in OT - first play (I think) a TD pass to Robert Royal in the end zone. Then Tennessee had to try for a TD and couldn't make it. Tide played hard and will continue to improve. The Florida State game will be interesting - Nick's D against Jimbo's O ---

It should be a real barn burner (no pun intended to Auburn fans) on Nov. 3.

This UGA/Bama game is exactly what I predicted months ago when Saban became their coach. Saban had good success in the SEC because of LSU recruiting and the SEC not being familiar with Saban's coaching. Guess what??? Now he has much tougher recruiting, and all coaches know his coaching style. Props to UGA's coaching staff, great game preparation and out coaching Bama's coaches. :thumb:

    How so?

FWIW, the difference in this game was in the depth. I mentioned to tiga earlier in the week that there were some injury concerns. Not having Mustin in made a huge, huge difference.

That being said, there was a lack on intensity from the team. You could call that coaching...or you could call that a lack of experience in "being there."

I'll let me Tiger friends take this one. Hint, listen to your Coach's comments after the game.

And, we seldom recruit against Auburn for in-state players. A few, maybe, but you can count them on one hand year in and year out. If you take a second and look at the talent in Alabama you won't see Alabama and Auburn competing for all the players. Heck, this year out of the top 25 Florida has as many as Auburn does.

You've lost me. It was your comment I was questioning, not others on this forum.

The difference was obvious. 'Bama went 3-15 on 3rd down and that resulted in +9 minutes of possession for Georgia.

That was an interesting stat in the game. One, I feel, goes back to the depth issues.

It's hard to get an accurate read on a lot of the SEC teams this year. UF looked almost unbeatable until yesterday. UGA's game against USCe isn't a gauge by which you can judge that team as well. Heck, when you have a Michigan team that still could win the Big 10, it says a lot for the parity in the NC2A.

Well for one thing, most of us can tell you exactly what Nick will say as a result of any situation - before the game, during the game, after the game and in his weekly press conferences and call in show. Nick was really something new when he came to LSU. However, now it seems he has not changed (or adapted) one bit. He is doing and saying exactly the same things at Bama that he did at LSU. Difference is, it is now 3 to 5 years later and everyone knows what he is going to say and what coaching moves he is going to make in any given situation.

For future reference - your in deep $*!@ in December when you hear Nick say "I am happy at Alabama, and I am not going to be the Notre Dame coach."

Question?? Obviously I was watching the game on TV. It seemed like Bama fans were throwing things on the dog pile of Bulldogs in the end zone after they scored to win the game. Did anyone else see that?
