I have been hearing on TV all day about a connection between UGA and Dale Brown and paying players can someone give me a link to a story about this subject.

That seems to be the question of the day. I have not really read anything else on it. The foundation is supposed to help needy students, but the article does not make it clear if Dale "personally" gave him the money through his foundation or with his own money. Either way it seems $10,000 is a lot for just one needy student.

Why is a former LSU coach giving money to another school's players?? Just doesn't seem right. All I have to say, at least it aint us getting investigated.

  6. More on it from the Advocate this morning...

Appears that the DB Foundation was helping Cole since he was from BR. Once he went to UGA, the Fundation cut him off. Also inidcates that the Harricks were either misquoted or made just wrong statements in bringing up Brown.

Look at the bright side, at least he is not giving money to our players. We had that problem already thanks to Dale.

He should be teaching kids how to shoot free throws (See Shaq)

    From the Advocate.
The part about the money ended the day before he left for Georgia bothers me somewhat. True or not it could be taken that when he left for Georgia instead of his hometown school-LSU, Dale stopped giving him money.

I thought the same thing when I read that. Strange.

I wonder if there is a state law that prohibits a person from getting involved in paying players which may be recruited by the state universities. If Dale is involved in something like that he sould be committed to a mental institution.
