unemployment unexpectedly dropped to 10% from 10.2%.

"Nonfarm payrolls fell by just 11,000 last month, slowing down from a downwardly revised 111,000 drop seen in October, as the recovery encouraged some companies to retain workers, the Labor Department said Friday.

It was the best showing since December 2007, when the recession began and payrolls had risen by 120,000. Economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires had expected a payroll decrease of 125,000."

past recessions have not included double-dips so history shows unemployment will slowly but steadily continue to decrease.

its all gov data. you have reason to believe gov data now is less reliable than gov data in the past? the trend is what is important, not the real # so much.

I hope this is a sign of things to come but I fear it's a seasonal blip (Xmas hiring) that may not have any sustainability. We'll see....
