When will democrats learn that government spending it not the ideal means to create jobs? Obama wants a second stimulus because he thinks it's "at the heart of our effort to accelerate job growth" even though "independent economists at five universities, showed the strategy of pumping transportation money into counties hasn't affected local unemployment rates so far." If the first stimulus has not worked why the need for a second one? And if you claim we need more time for the first one to work then why not wait and see if it works then consider a second stimulus?

Obama misled about what he was going to do in the first stimulus. When the bill came out, it wasn't $787 billion to jump start the economy, it was mostly pet projects that will take months or years to get off the ground, and tax cuts. Both of which are worthless. Now he's trying to do what he should have done in the first place but he has no credibility on the matter after the first attempt. What an idiot.

At least we'll get some new roads out of it.

$20 billion, that should be enough for almost 2-3 miles of road!

It's not about importance, it's about relevance.
