LSU Bama 2011 9-6 game is on right now. Running back #42 Michael Ford had a pretty good game . Big kid . Whatever became of him? Any career in NFL?

I should watch that. I saw it live in a sports bar in Boston. All the other TV'S had a hockey game on with the sound. I got very drunk. I heard later there was a picture of me on their wall wearing purple and gold.

I think he was drafted late or maybe UFA, Chicago I think. Didn't pan out for whatever reason.

One season with the Bears, played almost exclusively on special teams, had a handful of kick returns.

The mystery to me from that team was Sam Montgomery. Was an absolute beast that season, but fell off the following year and never made an NFL game day roster.

Just another that left early and shouldn't have. Its astonishing that this trend hasn't slowed across cfb. Think he may have had work ethic problems as well.

Either way, should have stayed another year.

Ford legit could not run between the tackles. He always ran sweeps or end arounds. You can't just run pitches wide in the league.

Which is sort of odd because I thought he was a big back? He was a big dude right, certainly not a Trindon Holiday type.

I remember him returning kicks in the peach bowl. We had the lead going into half with 109 yards to Clemsons almost 300. We had around 100 yds passing and 9 first downs for the game yet we lost by one. ZM had a qbr ~13. Yet I'm still pissed we threw the game away.

Clemson ran 100 plays. 100. Not a typo.
