    TheDude I'm calmer than you.

I know several publications have picked us to be pre-season #2 with USC #1, and plenty of people have expressed either joy or dismay over our high ranking. Running the table in the SEC is an extremely difficult proposition and realistically, we may not make it to the NCG, despite our talent, and schedule this year. The question I have is, despite USC's talent and schedule, do you think they will make it to the NCG as well? Will they fall as they did last year, to a team like UCLA and wind up in the Rose bowl. Will they be ranked high enough to possibly secure yet another split NC?

Swerved It appears my hypocrisy knows no bounds.

I picked the lose one and don't split.. Actually I think they're gonna lose more than one but not just because I don't like em. It just seems to me they play some games a little closer than they should and it comes back to bite them occasionally... I think this will be the case this year... Not sure who they will lose to though..

I'm abstaining from this vote as there's no "wins all the games and PLAYS in the NCG" option.

I think their "Toughest" game, and vball can correct me if I'm off here, is Cal, on the road. Though I seem to remember UCLA returning like 20 starters, I think the Trojans go in to that game with EXTRA motivation and pulverize the Ruins this year. Nebraska is the trap game IMO.

    What say ye Hector/Vball??

kal will be interesting for sure. The triple OT game there 4 years ago was the start of a terrific streak and prior to ucla in November, we'd been undefeated in Pac10 play since that time. I'd say our road game against the Huskers will say a lot about this year's team, one way or the other.....big potential trap game. Two other potential traps are at Oregon and at ASU. I feel better about the floats but ASU has played us tough there and they don't give up. ucla will have a good team this year but after 13-9.........it's in the books.

No real reason for me to think they will lose to anyone on their regular season schedule. 'Trap' games noted but obviously great teams find ways to win those games. I wish 'trap' games were our biggest problem! (Kidding of course, I love the SEC.)

The biggest problem so far is finding hotel rooms. Half the people I know who are going to the game are having to stay an hour or 2 away.

Nooo, not the driving! Oh, wait, that's not LA traffic. It's like in Indiana or something.

Don't forget the part ND played. After ND, SC was emotionally drained and didn't have anything left in its tank for UCLA. SC had to play Cal, ND, and UCLA in three consecutive weeks.
