I'm liking the stragery of using Holiday late in the game to burn by the fatigued defense.

I don't think using him as a decoy is smart - he may distract on a play or two, but honestly - Hester would be ten times more valuable if Holiday isn't going to get the ball. (blocking, catching, dragging linebackers with him, etc...)

    Re: Using Holday

The problem with having Holliday run a wheel route is his height. Think about it. Flynn would have to "drop the egg in the basket" because even though Holliday could have seperation, a taller defender can cut that distance because Flynn would have to drop the ball right over the top.

But having said that, even when JR was here, many reports said that Flynn had the best "touch" on fade routes of our 3 QB's.

I must say, you're a lucky man to be able to get to BatonRouge for the game. I envy you. I kinda wish the game was in Blacksburg, I've got to be there Friday to rewire a RiteAid. What part of WV do you live in? You never know, there are times when we may help each other make the trip. Good to know, I'm not the only DIEHARD Tigers fan living in the boonies. Have a great weekend.

Seemed to me that Crowton is off to a good start in using Trindon in different ways.

Can't recall seeing Trindon running between the tackles like he did on one play...we'll see plenty of him on Sat, esp. if it doesn't rain.

Can you imagine what it's like, as a defender downfield, when Trindon catches the ball coming out of the backfield on a screen? I mean, all you'll see is the wall of linemen and have no idea where, exactly, Trindon is located *behind* that wall...LOL.

Charlie, I'm live in Teays Valley. I will be in Parkersburg the next week-end sailing down the Ohio around Blennerhassett Island. I'll say Hi to Mike VI for you.:geauxtige

Just returned from Blacksburg, lots of hopeful faces, but the majority there are honest and don't think they'll win. I hope they're right. And enjoy the Sternwheelers.

Just get him the ball in the open and he will run past all the Hokies. I'm sure Coach Crowton can figure out how to do that. :tigerhead:tigerhead:tigerhead:tigerhead:tigerhead:tigerhead:tigerhead:tigerhead:tigerhead
