1. i guess i was too much in disbelief over the pairings to not notice but USL has been passed over? I dont think they lost a conference series all year...maybe one.

im no USL fan but thats hard to believe.

oh I avoid local news if possible so sue me.

    how low was their rpi?
  2. 56 per boyds world.

    http://www.boydsworld.com/baseball/rpi/currentrpi.html

edit: south alabama which finished below ULL in SBC play had a much higher rpi of 39.

i think they didnt' want to send ULL back to the Alabama regional site. plus they had a much cleaner regional site featuring alabama, troy, and south alabama. (#5, #22, and #39 RPI teams).
  3. RPI was 48. SOS was 101.

They took the 3rd place team South Alabama over USL. They had a better RPI (40) and SOS (63), but finished 2.5 games behind USL.

How Missouri and Stanford got in is a mystery. Their numbers really suck.

    EDIT: numbers from Warren Nolan
  4. stanford is a freaking joke.
  5. But they are a cali team. All hail the mighty cali schools. :dis:
  6. Don't forget that they're also a member of that awesome Pac-10 conference. You know, the one where there last place team could beat the sh!t out of the champion of every other conference!!! :po:
