HOOVER, Ala. – LSU four star defensive tackle Travonte Valentine will leave Baton Rouge having never played a down.

Valentine, the Tigers’ 350-pound former highly rated recruit, has left the program, LSU spokesman Michael Bonnette confirmed to The Advocate on Wednesday.

A junior college news website reported that Valentine will transfer to Arizona Western Community College, where two other LSU players have transferred recently.

He was given a list of things to do, wasn't a big list, but he has a shot to get it together, best of luck to him.

FYI, this is the same school LB Clifton Garrett is attending. Might be something the staff has to get them back after JC?

    Another guy,
    David Jenkins
    Year: RSo.

    Position: Cornerback

    Home Town: Jena, LA

He was at LSU for a short time, signed in the 2011 class.....

I don't think that's the list, everything is spelled correctly.

I have said it before that there should be some system to let guys that are not college material play football while learning a skill at a local trade school that would be affiliated with the university. Trade school, business college, cooking school, truck driving school or even an apprentice program to learn to be carpenters, plumbers or electricians.

Great idea and in fact, if we want to re-build the USA, we should really be looking at providing relevant & affordable public trade education. The more I see of the expensive private trade techs, the more I see that many of them are giant rip-offs creating giant student loan debts that for the most part, will never be re-paid meaning more federal debt and a weaker US labor pool.
