  2. the only non-ad site my anti-virus has software has detected and blocked viruses from in a while was one i tried going to last night when trying to find some information on the unabomber.

as far as viruses here, i dont have any problems, but i have ad blocker. i've heard of too many ad using sites that have virus problems. i think i heard tide fans had that problem not long ago. you would think the ad hosts would keep a tighter control on these things.
  3. It cost me about $100 to fix when my computer got infected.

  4. I hope you didn't buy the 'fix' from the jackholes that created the 'virus'. Did you spend the $100 on a tech person to fix it or did you buy the SW that tells you it can remove it for you? I hope it was the former.

Wonder why Brett hasn't done anything about this? Too many people have gotten it, so he has to know by now.
  5. I think this was covered in another thread but the virus is coming from some of the ads being served--something that is out of Brett's control. I have gotten similar popups from The Advocate's website, as well as a few others.

  7. No, I had a tech person take care of it.
  8. I had a feeling you wouldn't let just anyone touch your mohterboard.
  9. That's right. I'm truly selective.
  10. I'm not the one who got the virus.
