I guess my opinion on this topic will be fogged no matter what anyone says because I have a friend who has been there and done that and he HATEDthe man...

No doubt a great coach though...

It is no secret! It really isn't!

Anyone who knows half a thing about LSU recruiting knows it was all Jimbo's doing in getting RP...

He came to our school, and told the student body there that Ryan "Had a long way to go to live up to his hype."

There was no "good job" or anything like that... he went right to the weaknesses...

How would you feel if you were a 17 year old and someone told your friend this?

First factual thing you've said all day. :thumb:

Ryan even made a point over and over to speak of his close relationship with Coach Fisher.

Great job by Saban. I am glad he is honest concerning potential recruits.

Wow. Kinda how we lost Marshall Faulk to San Diego State. We wanted him to play DB!

    But the question is:

If the #1 player in the country didn't satisfy him, then what did he say to everyone else?

It is one thing to ridicule someone in private, but to ridicule him in front of a student body of his peers is kinda extreme

Come on Beantown, let's not go down that road! We're headed into the weekend, and I'd rather not get all bent out of shape on this one...:thumb:

    (Steve McNair too, ahem.)

How is he ridiculing the kid by saying that?

RP has yet to accomplish anything at the college level and has been hyped to no end. Of course he "Had a long way to go to live up to his hype".

Well I mean every coach makes mistakes... I'm sure for every error we have made, we have made 10 good moves, like Webster to DB from WR/QB
