    Well for those who were at the game, they know it was just a matter of time. The home plate umpire was THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN. Even an Ole Miss fan I was talking to after the game agreed that this was the worst he's seen. The guy was inconsistent calling balls and strikes, then the infamous play at the plate, where he called Sprowl safe, then decided he wanted to call him out. This guy was just plain ol bad all day.

    But I was glad to see Smoke get riled up. That was a pleasant surprise.

    For the play at the plate, Hannagriff and Hawthorne both said it was a good call because Sprowl missed the plate. I'm not saying the umpire wasn't terrible but I just thought I'd fill you in since sometimes you can't see everything when you are at the game.

    I wish he would have kicked alittle dirt on the guy though. Smoke was really nice about the whole thing. It worked however, that's all that matters. Great game Tigers!
