:tigerhead MANY FOLKS ARE HAPPY FOR JAMARCUS, BUT I CAN TELL THAT A LOT ARE CURIOUSLY EXCITED ABOUT WHAT IS BEHIND HIM. I CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER MYSELF BUT I AM CONFIDENT THAT WE ARE LOSING A RARE TALENT THAT DOESN'T COME AROUND VERY OFTEN. IF HE WOULD HAVE HAD THE CHANCE TO OPEN IT UP ALL YEAR, WE WOULD BE PLAYING MONDAY NIGHT !!!
You darn right we'll miss him! I'm still holding out for a positive decision for LSU until he announces his intentions.... But, that doesn't mean anything because I didn't exactly get what I wished for with Tyrus. But I still remain "LSU greedy" :hihi:
so rare its once in a lifetime talent. hope you guys enjoyed every snap he was here as much as I did. more scarce than haley's comet.
Im a rarity here and may get flack for it but I think it would be in his best interest to return. If I were an exec Id honestly be leary of taking him just yet with a very high pick. First off, I agree, he is an amazing talent. His touch and arm strength are second to none. He has superstar written all over him. Truth is, as a player he still needs maturity. As a high draft pick, you need to be ready to play early. Russell is ready in many instances. Overall though I think he is still too prone to big mistakes. Take the fumble early in the first half. LSU was on a roll and that took the steam out until the second half. He should have either thrown the ball away, he had the time. Or he should have just taken the sack. Not have the ball up so high. That is a serious mental era. The interception he threw was a forced ball. Grant its a horrible play call to have one WR and he is going deep. Russell forced the ball in great coverage. He should have thrown it away or ran.
nitpick and ridiculous because he will be a top 10 pick and thats all that matters in real life away from our overanalytical view. He goes pro because he will cash a huge check which is the intent. Im sure you didnt even see the dumb forced passes of the likely #1 pick in Brady Quinn because your opinion of JR cant change like many others. It was set long ago and his 69% completion rate is still being called "inconsistent". Its ok to admit you're wrong. Im forced to do it often as well. the media cant do it but i expect fans to do so. at least LSU fans. hes not perfect but to criticize the guy as "cant read defenses" or "Doesnt check off" is a joke if you pay attention. check the stats if that isnt enough. Dude is a winner plain and simple and these exact criticisms were given to VY less than a year ago. Time for all the fat white men to come correct.
Im not at all saying he isnt going to be a star. Read the whole post. I know he has superstar written all over him. Yes, its nitpicking. I never said he doesnt check off or make adjustments. He does. Yes, he is a real leader. He has an innate leadership inside him. He has vastly improved from the begining of the season until now. Im just saying if he is picked early he will have to play. I think another year of maturity would do wonders for him. Thats all Im saying. I think he has amazing potential either way. I just dont think he is quite ready to step in just yet. Im not seeing everything in purple and gold.
