Care to explain that one monkey boy?

If you are referring to the 77-0 defeat of aTm, Jason White didn't even play the 2nd half. Most of the 2nd half was played with 2nd and 3rd teamers. The aTm guys just gave up and didn't give a damn that 2nd half. What was Stoops supposed to do?

It's not easy money by any means. Probability's on your side, but probability sways from week to week when it comes to slotting players in the draft. David Pollack can easily find himself being selected top ten. Not one of us knows exactly how he'll do at the combine. A great combine and suddenly David finds himself signing a top ten contract. Perhaps a better bet would have been who gets selected higher? Whitworth or Pollack. Either way, some of y'all are underestimating Pollack's talent.

And moreover, Pollack has a quality that coaches are really looking for now...character.

As for the Saints not selecting Will Poole or Derrick Strait... They would have looked like the biggest fools selecting Poole or Strait in the 1st round. Will Smith may not have been a need player, but at least Will Smith is practically a given to be a good pro.

I wonder if it could be from Stoops classless haggling w/the referees and continual refusal to stay inside the coaching designated area during the Sugar Bowl, or berating them continually without drawing a penalty...

Perhaps its when he snidely took a swipe at Swann as if Swann had attempted to slight him when he asked him about the best defense in the nation at the half (Stoops was right, OU-at that point-was the best defense in the nation. That destinction lasted for 30 more minutes, when LSU took that title, along with the Sugar Bowl title. Statistically and final score-wise, LSU proved it was the best D)...

Either way, before that time, I had a honest to goodness respect for Stoops. I really liked the guy, and his coaching philosophy demands much less of a personal sacrifice on his staff, in stark contrast to Saban. Assistants for OU drop their kids off at school, make it to Little League games and the like because Stoops doesn't apply that same dogged pressure that Saban does...

Both approaches have proven effective, but Saban did come out in the one that mattered most...

Here's a peanut for you ... Biff (the magnetic monkeyboy)

All of Stoops horses and all of Stoops men,

won't be able to rebolt Frankenstein again.

This year ... payback for Stoops ...

and the "Half a Hundred" gang ... whatta joke ... your shallow lies mean nothing here, Biff! Stoops runs up scores ... period ... end of story ... and he does it in Texas for recruiting purposes ... period ... end of story

DCs from every team OU plays this year will send blitzes against White just like Baylor ... buckle up ... it's gonna be a long tough ride for the homers this year ...

"Denial" is a river in Egypt ...

go jump in it and wash some of that OU "Half a hundred & NC #8" Bull**** off

Yeah, I'm guessing names like Ricky Williams, Ray Lewis and Terrell Owens are just names that are synonymous with class in NFL circles, Ryan...

I don't know about you, but Owens proved that classless jerks who are world class athletes who actually lay it on the line are coveted much more than any Willie Roaf ever will be.

Lewis was charged with murder 4 years ago, beat the rap, and now is on the cover of the most popular video game in America.

Terrell Owens is a total classless jerk, and he's on the cover of ESPN NFL Live '05, the other big video game for X-Box and PS2.

Ricky Williams-if he so chose-would start the biggest bidding war in league history if he were suddenly to become a free agent and unretire.

Corey Dillon was a continual malcontent with the Bengals, and the defending Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots saw so much "Character" in him that they signed him...

Simeon Rice is one of the best defensive lineman in the NFL right now, but he got fricking deported from Hawaii during the Pro Bowl for his weirdo antics and outlandish behavior...You think people are worried about his character?

I guess these examples are here to just show you what a ridiculous statement that was...I'm sorry, but class ain't got sh!t to do w/the NFL, baby...

Which Terrell Owens are we talking about? The one who dropped a multitude of balls last year and even admitted how badly he played last season on PTI the other day? The one who came into multiple games and sat out due to injuries that he even said during the same interview that he "didnt know exactly what they were"? Christ, lays it on the line? Hardly....the guy alienates his teammates like no other....see his McNabb comments from the last 2 days.....you all can have him

Pollack's more heart than size and ability. Heart doesn't get drafted very high. Marcus Spears will also get drafted before David Pollock.

Now, now, let's not exaggerate, he was only actually charged with obstruction of justice. It was his boyz that did the killin'. But you're right, not only do most teams not seem to care about the personality and criminal record, a lot of them seem to be seeking out guys who have a history of slight mental instability and violence because they think the guys "have an edge to them".
