1. Single game statistics are meaningless as predictors, but just for the record:

    NCAA Division I National Rankings:

    Total Offense = LSU #65 -- VT #84
    Scoring Offense = LSU #18 -- VT #78
    Passing Offense = LSU #86 -- VT #35
    Rushing Offense = LSU #43 -- VT #98

    Total Defense = LSU #8 -- VT #36
Scoring Defense = LSU #1 (tie) -- VT #20 (tie)
    Passing Defense = LSU #29 -- VT #21
    Rushing defense = LSU #6 -- VT #65
  2. There were five teams out there who allowed LESS than 10 rushing yards? That's the most interesting stat.
  3. What surprises me is that LSU's D gave up 10 yards rushing and 120 something yards passing. As such, there were 5 teams that gave up less than 10 rushing yards and 28 that less passing. Pretty impressive.

Any stats on where we are overall?
  4. Wow, ten yards rushing allowed only gets you #6?! Damn, this sport's getting a lot more competitive every year. :hihi:
  5. Haha. You beat me to it.

    EXACTLY
  6. Notre Dame had to ruin it for us and be NEGATIVE 8 yards rushing against GT.
  7. Here are a few more stats to chew on.

    Net Punting = LSU #48 -- VT #14
    Punt Returns = LSU #79 -- VT #33
    KO Returns = LSU #23 -- VT #88
    Turnover margin = LSU #1 -- VT #91
    pass efficiency = LSU #21 -- VT #42
    Pass Eff. Defense = LSU #1 -- VT #17
    Fewest Penalties = LSU #74 -- VT #9
  8. I'm trying to figure out how we can get 6 interceptions and be 29th in pass defense.
  9. Can't those Irish do anything right?
  10. Good question. Maybe it had something to do with 5 of them being handed to us on a silver platter. That's the only thing I can think of.
