I think that is an entirely different situation. Drew Tate was knocked out of the ISU game with a concussion. When he left the game, Iowa was down only 6-0. He could very well have led that team back, as it was still very early in the game.

One would hope--hope---than an LSU win next week gets the Tigers some #1 votes. A 2-0 LSU team would have 100% of its wins over a top 20 team, something even mighty USC cannot claim at this time.

Unless we 'throttle' (since that appears to be the preferred word of the thread) them, thus making them 1-2 and knocking them out of the top 20 (or even 25).

Exactly my point in the SEC west thread. Everyone think polls mean something at this point in the season. Nobody cares where you start just where you finish. Look at OU, does a victory of OU mean anything at this point? No and they were top ten to begin the season.

I think Tenn woulda jumped LSU had they won. It was too big a jump for Fla to make, and Va Tech is right up our ass as it is.

I was at the Louisville-Oregon St. game Saturday and I can tell you Louisville is for real.

If there is a defense in the country that can stop USC as of right now, it is Virginia Tech.

I wanna know what idiots placed OU in their top 25 poll?

    I mean 4 points...come on

And whoever is voting Texas #1 is delusional...USC deserves all first place votes (did I say that out loud just now?)
